Performs complete or selective backup and restore of every aspect of your Outlook Express:
- email and newsgroup messages (including attachments);
- folders structure;
- identities;
- email and news accounts;
- Windows address book;
- settings and options;
- message rules;
- Block sender list;
- signatures (including the ones stored in external files);
- stationery files;
- and as a convenience: Internet Explorer Favorites.
Uses a wizard-like style of backup and restore that makes it extremely easy to use
and enables all kind of users to back up their own data.
Backups are stored in an industry ZIP format (compatible with WinZip) which can be
optionally password protected for increased privacy and security. Optionally, a self-extracting backup can be created,
which allows restoring the data without the need to install SafeMail.
Interactively estimates the size of a resulting backup file as the user selects
or deselects the items to be backed up.
SafeMail can be controlled by the command line parameters making it possible to initiate backup and restore from command line, which allows execution
of SafeMail by standard or 3rd party tools, eg. schedulers. |
