How to convert DVD MPEG
Convert DVD MPEG for playing anywhere.DVD is an optical disc storage media format that is used for playback of movies with high video and sound quality and for storing data.
MPEG stands for Moving Picture Experts Group. MPEG is the name given to a set of standards used for coding audiovisual information (i.e., movies, music, and video) in a digital compressed format. The major advantage of MPEG compared to other video and audio coding formats is that MPEG files are much smaller for the same quality. Current standards that exist include MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-3, and MPEG4.
MPEG-1 is a standard for CD-ROM video and audio. VCDs and MP3s are encoded with MPEG-1. MPEG-2 is usually encoding format used by standard commercial DVD movies by using higher bit rates (i.e. higher quality) for more complex pictures and lower bit rates for simple pictures.
MPEG-3 should not be confused with MPEG-1 Part 3 Layer 3(MP3). MPEG-3 had been abandoned because its functions are the same as MPEG-2.
MPEG-4 is a graphics and video compression algorithm standard that is based on MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and Apple QuickTime technology. The primary uses for the MPEG-4 standard are web (streaming media) and CD distribution, conversational (videophone), and broadcast television.
