How to Convert RM / RMVB to MPEG?

RM to AVI/DVD/VCD/SVCD/MPEG Converter is the right software that can help you realize the convertion from RM / RMVB to MPEG. More related info and the step by step guide are also offered below, helping you understand more about the formats RM, RMVB and MPEG.

What's RM format? - RealMedia is a digital sound and video file format that is the registered trademark of RealNetworks. This format is typically used to stream media through the net. It can be played with the RealOne player or with other media players using the Real Alternative codec.

What's RMVB format? - Rmvb is an abbreviation for Real Media variable bitrate and is used to contain RV9 (Real Video 9 video) and RA (Real Audio). It is a type of video file, playable with RealPlayer from RealNetworks.

Comparison between RM and RMVB - Compared with RM, RMVB is also a kind of compressed format but seems more clear and smooth, mainly used on DVD qualified films. The letters VB of RMVB stands for Variable bitrate, interpreting RMVB breaks out the equal bitrates on static and dynamic frames by distributing more bitrates on the dynamic ones so as to make best use of the resource, improve efficiency, and optimize the whole film's quality.

What's MPEG format? - MPEG stands for Moving Picture Experts Group and is the name given to a set of standards used for coding audiovisual information (ie, movies, music, and video) in a digital compressed format. The major advantage of MPEG compared to other video and audio coding formats is that MPEG files are much smaller for the same quality. MPEG-1 is a standard for CD-ROM video and audio. MPEG-2 is a standard for full-screen, broadcast quality video. MPEG-4 is a standard for video telephony.
