How to convert MPEG VOB

Convert MPEG to VOB for playback on your home DVD player, rip DVD movies (VOB files) to MPEG for editing or storing - you'll probably have a better reason for doing this though.

MPEG stands for Moving Pictures Expert Group. It is a working group of ISO/IEC in charge of the development of standards for coded representation of digital audio and video. MPEG is not an acronym for any standards, it is the acronym for the group who develops these standards! The extension .mpeg is added to video files encoded in the MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 standard. Use Media Player Classic to play back these files.

Step 1. Download Super DVD Creator, and install it.

Step 2. Run the Super DVD Creator. The software will give you 3 choices: a. video disc creator: direct make a DVD VCD or SVCD from source clips; b. Video Disc Burn: just burn the exist mpeg file to DVD SVCD or VCD disc; c. Mpeg file Converter: just convert source clips to DVD SVCD VCD Mpeg1 Mpeg2 format, will not burn to disc. At this step you can choose to output Mpeg file Converter.

Step 3. Select the output format "DVD disc" and then click "OK" button.

Step 4. Click the "Add video file clip" button to add the MPEG files into Source-list. And do some options as your like: set the begin point, set the end point, save picture. Note: Super DVD Creator supports Multi-Audio Channels. If you source clips contain more than one Audio Channels you can specify to some one.

Step 5. Click the button which is the first button from right on the bottom of the interface. Choose your Working folder, the output media will be saved to the Working folder before covert it to VOB file.

Step 6. After the above steps, press the Start button and waiting for end.

Step 1. Download Flash DVD Ripper here.

Step 2. Open your VOB file by clicking the "Open File..." button in the main interface.

Step 3. Set the output format to MPEG by setting the radio button on the main screen.


Step 4. Click the button "..." from the "Save As" column to set a file name.

Step 5. Click the button "Convert..." .

Step 6. Confiture the output parameters, you can set the output format as "PAL" or "NTSC" and set the MPEG output format as "MPEG1" or "MPEG2", and then select the "Language" and "Subtitle" as you like. If you want to convert all the chapters, set the radio button to "All Chapters" to rip entire file or just splitting by size or time. otherwise, please set it to "Select Chapters", then click the button "Select..." to enter the window for selecting chapters for converting as below, then click "Ok". ( if you feel it is difficult to set, you can also click "Default" to use the default setting to convert.)

Step 7. After the above steps, click the button "OK", it will start converting, or click the button "Cancel" to cancel converting.
